  • Show exhibit numbers may be collected from the show Secretary’s office, situated in the Dogs ACT building, from Friday 6th March.
  • The office will be open through the course of the day’s events.
  • Agility & Obedience exhibit numbers will be available on the day at the event venue.

Qualification certificates:

  • Presentation of Herding, Agility, Jumping, Gambler and Obedience qualification certificates will be held at the conclusion of each trial (days events).

  • Please refer to the enclosed map for the new location of the Herding Trial.
  • Handlers’ meeting will be held promptly at 8.15am.
  • Due to the large entry, an additional judge has been contracted to do the Herding Instinct Certificate, Herding Test and Pre-Trial.
  • These tests will be held concurrently with the Trial classes and starting promptly at 9:00am.
  • Highin Trial and Reserve High in Trial awards will be presented at the Presentation Dinner on Sunday 8th March.

Marquees, tents, cabanas:

For the benefit of all exhibitors and spectators -

  • Please note the Dogs ACT regulations in regards to the erection of these structures on the ACT dog grounds. No structure or object used to reserve ground, is to be erected before lunchtime Thursday 5th March.
  • This policy will be further enforced due to the fact that the grounds are still officially under the control of the RNCAS (Canberra Royal) until Friday 5pm.
  • All structures must be at least 1m back from all path way. The dog grounds have ground markings in place indicating the area to keep clear.
  • Due to the numbers expected, all non square marquees/gazebos/structures must be erected with the shortest side facing the ring to allow as many structures as possible along the outer ring area.
  • If you have a marquee that is situated along the pathway, we ask you to consider fellow exhibitors that may be set up behind your area, in that you refrain from putting up rear walls to allow clear view of proceeding to all exhibitor or spectators.
  • For exhibitors hiring marquees from DUC, the marquees will be labelled with the “hirers” name.

Grooming facilities:

  • A grooming van will be available for exhibitors use on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th.
  • Exhibitors will need to provide their own grooming products and towels.
  • A booking sheet for use of the van will be posted at the Secretary’s Office.
  • A gold coin donation towards the running of the van is asked from users.

Opening Ceremony:

  • A meets and greet for exhibitors and helpers at the National.
  • Everyone is warmly invited to the Opening Ceremony at the Dogs ACT grounds.
  • The ceremony will commence at 6:00pm or as close to that time as possible depending on the conclusion of the Herding Trial.
Please bear in mind that most event organisers, committee members or assistants will be involved with the herding trials.
  • Complimentary drinks, nibblies and a sausage sizzle will be supplied at the conclusion of the formalities.

Presentation Dinner:

  • The Presentation Dinner will be held at the Yowani Country Club, Northbourne Avenue, Lyneham.
  • The dinner will commence at approximately 7.00pm.
  • Due to limited seating - pre-bookings and payment is required; further details can be obtained from the web site www.nationalbordercollieshow.com.

Parking:

  • Friday 6th - Herding trials - Parking can be accessed via Wells Station Rd or Federal Highway entry at Shell garage.

  • Sunday 8th- Parking can be accessed via Wells Station Rd or Federal Highway entry at Shell garage.

Catering:

  • The club has arranged for an approved caterer to be on the grounds providing hot & cold food and beverages throughout the three days of the event.

Event Committee:

  • For your convenience the event committee members will be recognised by their special green shirts.
  • Please do not offer cold beer to the event manager he is not employed to enjoy himself.

Show protocol:

  • Please remember that this is just another show, allowing your active participation in a number of available criteria.
  • A small number of NSWSDCBCC members and friends have given a lot of themselves in preparing this event for your enjoyment; many have forfeited their opportunity to participate as exhibitors or triallers.
  • PLEASE ENJOY.
